Just got up after a rough sleep. It was shaking through the night. Currently, places like Niigata and Nagano are being hit with 4, 5 and 6 magnitude quakes. I was pretty lucky in that I never lost power or my internet connection. My cell phone was useless, tho. My gas turned off but was able to get that up and running again. I took a walk to the convenience store last night and rows of people were walking home due to the trains being completely stopped. A really bizarre sight. It seems they are up and running again today, tho.
Everyone I know is accounted for. Thank you for all the well wishes. Damage in Tokyo seems to be at a minimum but I’ll keep an eye on the news as reports flood in today I’m sure.

Glad to hear you and yours are all right. Reports I’ve heard are that, that was the 5th largest quake in recorded history. I can’t imagine experiencing that. Again very glad to hear you and yours made it through okay.
Thanks, Don. Problem now is finding rice, breads and milk. Lots of stores are bare. I’m stocked with a week’s worth so should be okay for a little while. Compared to northern Japan, we have little to complain about.
So glad to hear that you are ok. I am a big admirer of your work. Stay safe!
Thanks, DT. Staying safe and calm.
